A key objective of Actimerax Polymers & Materials is to build long-term collaborations that can attract and support funding for advanced materials development. Actimerax would like to work with industrial partners, research groups, and innovation organizations to shape strong project ideas, define realistic work packages, and clarify the technical direction of joint projects. The aim is to develop collaborations that justify investment in instruments, laboratory space, and larger development programs—so both partners and the business can grow together in a structured and sustainable way.

Actimerax Polymers & Materials is an independent consulting practice focused on polymers, resins, and advanced materials, with a particular emphasis on sustainable and high-performance polymer systems. The practice is designed to bridge the gap between academic research and practical industrial needs, especially for organizations that require targeted materials expertise but do not maintain a full in-house polymer team. Collaboration is flexible and project-based, adapting to the scale and needs of each partner rather than relying on large, fixed commitments.

Actimerax is led by Dr. Ihsan Basaran, a materials chemist with BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in Chemistry from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Turkey. His research background covers biodegradable and natural polymers, photopolymerization, nanomaterials and nanocomposites, and advanced polymeric biomaterials. Since 2020, he has worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Université de Moncton, focusing on thermoplastic resins and fiber-reinforced composites, including UV-curable systems for related processes. He combines detailed experimental work with application-oriented thinking, aiming to design resins and materials that are both environmentally friendlier and very efficient under real processing conditions.
